Members of the Chancel Choir sang at the wedding of member Erin Lauesen. Singing a wide range of repertoire from Paul Leddington Wright to Beyonce and Christina Aguilera, it was a great road trip adventure! Thanks to all who participated!
Sunday, April 3 will mark the kick-off to the 75th Anniversary of GCC with our second annual worship service based on the inspiration of popular music. Last year, we were inspired by music of The Beatles. This year, we will sing songs from each decade of GCC. Join us!

Last weekend, we hosted 10 singers who form the Ugandan Kids Choir. Along with their 3 chaperones, they stayed with families of GCC for three nights. Saturday, Oct. 24, we went on a train to downtown Chicago where the kids saw their first skyscrapers and played in Millenium and Maggie Daley Parks. Sunday, October 25, we were treated to their incredible musical talents as they shared a half hour of their music with our congregation. Thank you to all of the host families! It was an incredible weekend!
We are already planning for Hymn Fest 10 with Paul Leddington Wright as guest conductor & arranger! We need your input, so want to fill you in on the details. As part of the 75th Anniversary celebrations in 2016, our Sunday worship service on October 23, 2016 will be Hymn Fest 10.
